**UPDATED 01/25/2012** The Subaru 68HTA for STi/WRX will now only be available in an 8CM turbine housing and the 1 Bar wastegate actuator.

Everyone has seen or heard about Evo3 16g turbos and TD05H 18g turbos for the Subaru 2.0 and 2.5 engines, our newest turbo is the FP 68HTA™ for the Subaru STi/WRX unit which out flows both the E316g and 18g wheels and allows for higher PR operation without increased compressor outlet temperatures like the existing 16g and 18g wheels. Mass flow is increased to a whopping 47lb/min which is several lb/min greater than either the E316g or the 18g wheels are capable of. Rapid spool and large torque numbers are guaranteed by the TD05H turbine section.

These units are constructed from Genuine MHI 16g turbochargers which are reconfigured to 68HTA specs by Forced Performance. It is also recommended to purchase a high flow stainless steel oil supply line to use with this turbocharger. Some models of Subaru use a restricted oil supply line that will not allow adequate oil to the journal bearing style turbocharger. You will receive a non-restricted banjo bolt with your gasket set, however to be certain that you are receiving enough oil at a the turbo, purchase of a high flow SS oil supply line is recommended.

The FP 68HTA™ for the Subaru STi/WRX turbo fits all non fly by wire throttle 2.5 liter motors that are not the Legacy style configuration. Using this turbo on fly by wire Legacy style applications will require custom fitting and additional modifications to the intake system. This is not a direct fit for the 2008 and 2009 lower output 2.5 liter engines that use the Legacy configuration, such as Baja, Forrester, WRX etc.

These turbos come with the inlet and outlet gasket set.

5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5  This Turbo can haul a$$ - 4/19/2012
By: Roger Roomes (Miami, FL)
I have this on my 2003 WRX. I had on a VF 22 before and it out spools the VF22 by near 400 rpm or more. I have full 27 psi boost by 3600 rpms on this turbo. Before I ran 22psi on the VF22 and I hit 47MPH @ 3880 rpm. I maxed out the pinks that I had swapped out and the 68HTA could only handle 19 psi due to the pinks being maxed out, and I hit that 19psi @ 3500 psi and hit 63 MPH. To compensate for the limitations of the pinks, I went to 50/50 meth/water and now running 27psi. I will do a dyno and tell you what kind of numbers I am running. I estimate around 330/330 whp/trq that I be making.
5 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 55 out of 5  MONSTER TORQUE TURBO - 1/4/2011
By: DANIEL OSORIO (MIAMI, FL)
I love this turbo, fast spool up on 2.5, torque everywhere, perfect street turbo. And of course: bolt on, no need to modify the throttle body or the turbo outlet. Perfect to rally or up hill. Thanks FP.

Well I had my speculations about this turbo like everyone else. But I love it!! Hit full boost very early and pulls very hard all the way to redline. I have a 2.5 and this thing is a torque monster. This is a great turbo for auto x and street driving. Great Job Forced Performance!
3 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 53 out of 5  Decent Turbo - 4/8/2010
By: Grant Aaron (South Jordan, UT)
Alright, so I decided to pick one of these up for a build I was doing on an STi. I think that for the 2.0L cars it would be great, but for a built motor 2.5L car it was pretty lame. Spool is out of this world but up top it runs out of steam and doesn't do much better than the stock VF39 IMO. I have put about 500 miles on it since my tune, and today my HTA Green will be here.

Awesome turbo. There is a lot of talk back and forth on the interweb about this snail.. Trust me.. The positive reviews are all that matter.. This thing rocks! If you are even considering this turbo stop. Just buy it. I've run the range of MHI turbos on DSM's over the years, this thing just flat out rocks.. Here is a little comparison of the 68HTA @ 21psi to a Blouch 19t @22-23psi on e85. Out of MAF resolution. Can't wait to upgrade the MAF and crank up the boost. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kYdYla7C268
