The HTA update to our FP GREEN™ for the Evolution IX has been over a year in the making. A year well spent considering multiple wheel sizes and combination's, not to mention countless hours spent datalogging and dyno testing these combination's. We reviewed tons of logs from no less than 20 pressure sensors and temperature sensors within the turbocharger system as well as turbine speed and mass flow to verify that this new incarnation of the FP GREEN 73HTA™ would exceed the performance of every, any and all other available turbo upgrades for the EVO 4-9 in the up to 55lb/min category. This unit features the 54lb/min 73mm HTA compressor wheel and a new 65mm revision of the high efficiency 67mm turbine wheel used in the FP Red™ for the perfect combination of power and rapid spool.

Since it's debut in 2006, the FP GREEN™ for the Evolution IX has been the standard that the world uses to compare against when considering turbocharger upgrades for the EVO 4-9. Companies as far away as China, Taiwan, and Australia have tried to duplicate or improve on the performance of our FP GREEN™ turbochargers. Many directly comparing their units to the FP GREEN™ turbo, some even copying our color coding to confuse consumers. This standard of performance is now improved into the "perfect pump gas turbo" with an increased power capability, greater efficiency, less turbine back pressure, more options for wastegate opening pressure, and all of this with FP to back up the unit for the length of the warranty.

Current dyno graphs with the new FP GREEN 73HTA™ for the Mitsubishi Evolution IX.

The Dyno Graphs are of 2 different cars. The Cobb tuning graphs were generated in Plano, Texas using our own 2006 EVO9 with a 2.3l engine with 4R cams and run in 3rd gear on 93 octane gas. The Switzer graph was done on an EVO8 stock motor car with Comp 280 cams and also run in 3rd gear.

One Word -> AMAZING!!! - 12/1/2010 By: Ryan Connors This turbo is simply AMAZING!!! Currently this turbo in my Evo IX MR, running E85 @ 30psi turning the rollers to the tune of 497whp / 471 trq!!!! The best part is my setup up is a Buschur spec built motor, full bolt-ons, but here is the kicker, ZERO head work besides springs, NO intake manifold work, NO throttle body, and ready for this I am still on STOCK CAMS!!! There is nothing more to say, the numbers speak for how great this turbo really is!!! Phenomenal job FP!!!   This Turbo Rocks!! - 12/25/2009 By: John de Rouville This spools up like stock yet pulls HARD to redline! With the 80mm Cover this turbo has the most wicked sound at part throttle and makes amazing power. 11.4 @ 123, 95 mph in the 1/8, 460whp, 455wtq in a full weight street car. If you love the stock turbo but want more up top then buy this turbo!
