The Sleeper 16G represents the most powerful combination of components you can squeeze into 16G style housings. We do not disclose the list of ingredients for this voodoo gumbo, but we will tell you it's capable of around 400whp. Victor Brant used a FP Sleeper 16G to power his Galant VR4 to an 11.47 @ 119mph and dyno 400whp. The Sleeper comes fully loaded, with porting.
The intention of this turbo is to provide the absolute maximum amount of airflow possible from a 16g "footprint" turbocharger. We expect you to operate it in the 18-25psi range. You may want to use this turbo when class rules require a stock appearing turbocharger. Money racers select this turbo for its stealth. Often it is important to be able to "fool" your competition by saying that you have a stock turbo.
Boost response is typical of most 400whp turbochargers, it has a boost threshold of about 3700rpm. It was found that sizing the turbine any tighter to lower the spool created compressor surge problems when lugging the engine at lower RPM. A slower spoolup is one of the trade-offs of packing such a punch into this small package. One customer said it best when he said "that is 10lb of shit in a 5lb sack".
