This is Garretts non-ball bearing Performance version of the GT42 turbocharger. This GT42-2 version has a .60 A/R anti-surge ported compressor housing and a compressor wheel with a 96lb/min or about 1450cfm flow rate. This turbo is easily used in custom applications that require the "Standard T4 Turbine Housing Inlet Flange Pattern". The exhaust housing comes in 1.01 A/R ratio, and optional 1.10 and 1.32 A/R ratio housings are available as special order options. The discharge of the exhaust housing is a X.XX" vband clamp.
This is not a generic GT42 diesel turbocharger that wieghs a ton with some odd ball mega size bolt patterns that you will never find flanges for and nobody makes a header for, this is a standard T4 flanged performance version.
This turbocharger is usefull in the 850-950hp range for piston engines running on gasoline, slightly less with rotary engines.
