For '99-'03 7.3 liter applications, BD offers the PowerMax 7.3L system, centered around the Garrett GTP38R ball-bearing turbocharger. This unit features a large 88mm exducer diameter compressor wheel for a 33% airflow increase, more power and super-cool EGT's. At the same time, the new ported-shroud compressor housing eliminates surging and popping problems commonly experienced with the stock turbocharger. The PowerMax's Dual Volute turbine housing features an adjustable wastegate that responds quickly to low-engine rpm exhaust pulses. In short, the PowerMax is the best-matched turbo system for the 7.3L PowerStroke in the industry! Designed as a direct, bolt-in replacement for the stock turbocharger.
